Disney Infinity continues to pull The Walt Disney Company's long-floundering Interactive division back into the black.

The Interactive division showed a 38% year-on-year quarterly revenue increase.

Detailed segment figures were not provided, but Disney did say the Interactive division's fortunes improved from a $54 million loss in the same quarter one year ago to income of $14 million.

"Improved results were due to an increase at our console games business driven by the strength of Disney Infinity, which was released in the fourth quarter of the prior year, and growth at our Japan mobile business," the company said.

"The increase at our Japan mobile business was due to higher licensing fees from games sales, subscribers and sales of handsets."

In general, the company saw significant increases in operating income across all divisions, and record earnings per share.

Disney recently revealed Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes.
