Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag features an open world so that Edward Kenway can plunder plenty of foes on the rough seas. In the video below, the game’s lead writer walks VG247 through some all new, naval gameplay footage.

In the video, lead script writer, Darby McDevitt gives VG247′s Sam Clay a look at the intense naval action that will be present in the game. In it, you will also see an explosive gameplay scene in which you finally board another ship, to sadly ruin a red coat’s day.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag lands on PS3 and Xbox 360 October 29 in North America, and November 1 across Europe. The PC version is due on November 19.

The PS4, Wii U and Xbox One versions will be made available on November 22.

Fuck. That ending made me wanna puke. That’s exactly what’s wrong with AC3. Overly scripted Chase Sequence that can only be finished in one or two ways. They still don’t seem to understand the appeal of proper assassinations.

Thank god they released that footage, had plans to buy it.
