FIFA 14 reviews have started flying into the internet’s goal, while a wave of reviewers perform a mexican wave with numbered score cards. I’m talking shit because I know nothing about football. They use a ball right? Get the scores here.

Want an alternative view on the sport? Check out our PES 2014 review round-up here.

The scores below are all high, so understandably EA Sports must be pretty excited right now. Perhaps not as excited as this football commentator however.

Here are the scores in full:

Eurogamer – 8/10
CVG – 9/10
IGN – 9/10
Videogamer – 9/10
OPM – 9/10

Every year I hear 3 things.

1)Kojima is finished with MGS after the next game.
    2) Eurogamer praising PES. saying it brings thd PS2 glory back,
3)Giving Fifa a point of so less out of ten than PES.

YET… PES still sucks, The new game, great lighting. Terrible LOD model scaling, pitiful framerate, slow sluggish gameplay.
They need to start comparing how PES measures up to the real thing rather than how it improved over the last game. Yes, Fifa is becoming stagnated with incremental updates, but its still the better game. Since 2008.

Played the demo, hardly any different to 13… Waste of time buying it… Pes on the other hand has changed, shame it’s not next gen, fifa will be the only option for footy on ps4 sadly. The menu systems seem similar and masked with some sort of touch screen style tile layout which would be ok if anyone had touch screen on their living room tv! Clunky as yell, constantly loading or saving or connecting to ea. Very poor. And I bet you are still forced to do them skill games while loading instead of the far superior arena play, fifa takes the piss these days, hand held support has gone, and you’d think for the money they make they could give the fans something more than this insult, 9 out of 10?! Fuck off

Ït’s quite ridiculous, they keep basically giving full rating for an annualised franchise that comes out every damn year with very few changes.
