The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt screens are pretty, terrifying

Friday, 14th June 2013 03:07 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Some gorgeous screenshots have turned up for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt showing that games aimed at adults shouldn’t be afraid to use colour. Plus, bonus terrifying monsters.

Just zoom in on that one with the winged thing in it. Oh god, make it go away.

The images below turned up on AllGamesBeta and were not watermarked; presumably, they’re E3 screens.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014. It may utilise your old Witcher 2 saves, even on consoles, and will probably be the last we see of Geralt.

The only thing I don’t like is the new armor design. I looks like a spandex suit.

I may have said this before but – could this finally be an open-world game with decent vegetation?! I wonder what the gameplay will actually look like. It would be so awesome if they’d finally manage to do that.

I just loved stumbling across random corpses and whatnot hidden beneath all those plants in that first forest of The Witcher 2. Quite a different, way more immersive feel than Skyrim because of that.
