XCOM: Enemy Unknown will support cloud saves on iOS which will allow players to switch between iPad and iPhone on the go.
This is according to a 2K Games representative speaking with Polygon.
Enemy Unknown will also contain camera controls similar to the PC version, only it will be controlled by touch, not by moving a mouse obviously.
Characters are controlled by tapping on a soldier to select, and then double tapping a location in which you want them to move. Soldiers can be switched by swiping between them, and they can perform actions when found on the map and tapped.
The game will also support multiplayer, but not at launch. It will be released via a free title update later after the game is released.
2K states the game is the full XCOM game, only with fewer maps and resolution textures are slightly lower because of hardware limitations.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown will release on iOS sometime this summer.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown for iOS is due to release this summer at a premium app price. It will not launch with multiplayer, but 2K Games confirmed that a multiplayer mode will be included in a free title update.
