The turn-based strategy game is the sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and finds Earth under alien rule. Your goal is to rebuild XCOM and lead a global resistance to reclaim the world and save humanity.

If you like what you play, you can also pick the game up on sale until May 7. The base game is 75% off at $14.99, and you can also grab the Digital Deluxe version for 75% off at $18.47.

The game will be free to play until April 29 on Xbox One and April 30 on Steam.

Speaking of the game, its standalone follow-up, XCOM: Chimera Squad, was released this week and is set five years after XCOM 2. You should give our reviews round-up a look to find out what critics think, and also give the VG247 review the once over while you're at it.
