Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge to have 100 Ninja Trials, new weapons, skills and more

The PlayStation 3 and and Xbox 360 version of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge will pack in even more content than the Wii U release, with a slab of new inclusions detailed through the break.

Let's kick off with some new weapons; Ryu Hayabusa will have access to the slow but powerful Dual Swords, which can fire a shockwave attack (somehow). The Lunar Staff can be upgraded with ball-and-chain attachments for extra Ki-generating combos. Finally, the Kusari-Gama scythe can be used to pole vault over enemies to attack from above.

Ryu has new powers, too - Piercing Void creates an "encircling vacuum" to cut through crowds. Cicada Surge uses Ki but can interrupt enemy attacks.

The kunoichi have new powers, too. Ayane has overhauled Ultimate Techniques and combos, including a Phantom Spear technique effective even at distance. Momiji has a long range naginata, and Kasumi is, of course, an all-new addition to the playable roster, and uses Mugen Tenshin.

For veterans, Team Ninja has produced a 100 Ninja Trials mode with a "marathon" of challenges.

Check out some new screens below. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is due in early April.
