Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes needs a project engineer, according to job listing
Kojima Productions wants you to come work for the firm on Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.
According to the job posting on Gamasutra, the firm will be at GDC in March looking for potential project engineers for “the latest Metal Gear Solid targeted for high-end consoles and PC.”
The firm is also looking for engineers to “help develop next-gen game engine technology,” using the FOX Engine which Kojima will be showing off at the conference.
If you think you have what it takes to be a Brand Manager, the firm is looking for one of those as well.
Interested parties should stop by the Konami Group booth, #1914, in the Career Pavilion.
Ground Zeroes was pretty much confirmed for PC back in August, but a release date and other formats haven’t been announced.
Thanks, OnionPowder.

We went over this once before. Why do you keep following this series if you clearly don’t like where it has gone the last few games? You’re not a fan, that’s cool. Move on to a series you do like.

Exactly. He’s been badmouthing the series or the characters without even knowing shit about them. If this isn’t your thing, then get the fuck out of here, man. Go comment on DmC articles instead.

@2: Don’t like your own medicine? 0:
Anyway, Hideo has proven way too many times that he needs someone standing behind him and telling him “That doesn’t make sense, cut it out.”
So I hope this new game has less bullshit and less sexist fanservice.
Oh and actual gameplay would be nice.

I think this game should have more Meryl acting like a gorilla.

Yep. The nanomachines might be responsible for that as well.
Or it might be Psycho Mantis again.
Whatever works right now. Such a great writer.

Seriously though, I’ve enjoyed every single Metal Gear game I’ve played, loved their stories, and look forward to seeing little girl Naomi in Ground Zeroes.

If I ever make a game, it will just be pure 100% sexist fanservice. And guys with white hair getting their dark souls filled with light by nanomachines. Just so you’ll hate it. lol

@8 – I’ve enjoyed all of them that weren’t called Metal Gear Solid 2, which was just an unforgivable mess. MGS4, I can only think of one problem I had with the entire story and that has been pretty much revealed to have been a Ryan Peyton suggestion: the whole hypnotism thing with Ocelot, since MGS3 set it up perfectly for him to have actually been possessed, what with his father being a medium and all.
I’m actually quite glad that they’ve since retconned it so that he was actually possessed, eventually regained control, removed the arm, and THEN did the hypnotism thing to himself. But Peyton has said that he was trying to get Kojima to steer the story as far away from the supernatural as possible for 4.

Only way I will be interested in this game if it is similiar to Snake eater no craziness from MGS2 or 4.

@11, MGS3 actually was the most craziest in the franchise.
Crocodiles and jungles in Syberia with bosses that have super powers/mutants with gay Volgin and so on.
Still, they are good games with interesting plot. Kojima just need to calm down with all supernatural stuff, because he went too far with the last two games.

@8: Oh me too! I wonder if she fails to climb into a chopper in this game as well.
@12: Yep, in MGS3 the bosses had super powers, unlike in any of the previous games. Wait what? Are you telling me that people actually can’t fly above the ground? Or that you can’t stop projectiles with your thoughts alone? Or that you usually get sick when you drink blood? Or that they can’t run on water?
Really? Next thing you’re going to tell me is that there are no cyborg ninjas who teleport from one room to the next and stop projectiles with their swords.
If the burning unicorn and the flying whale in the Phantom Pain trailer are any indicator it’s that he’s going completely nuts with it.
I don’t mind though. At least he doesn’t act like it’s all super technology and totally reasonable. MGS always had a factor of supernatural element to it.

Uh huh. I am just going to put your post in the crazy pile with the rest of your other posts.
MGS SNake Eater was the most down to earth compared to MGS2 and 4. MGS4 Kojima had to go “oh crap now we have to fix all those gaping plot-holes of the second one” and how did he do that? With more crazy crap to plug in. If he makes similar to Snake Eater or the original I will be interested. Otherwise I won’t even bother.
Phantom Pain at least seems to follow that thread.

@13, Yes, they had super powers in previous games before but in the third title they felt unnatural to the MGS world and MGS atmosphere.
Supernatual stuff are very good in MGS series because these guys were super soldiers in which we “Humans” does not really know much about. You can argue as much as you want if these characters were realistic or not, but the fact is that you never know what is happening behind the scenes in the real world.
It does not matter. Kojima stuff are pure fantasy and plot is really cool. That is important. Also, because of interesting plot and interesting super soldiers we get sometimes some interesting boss fights.
“If the burning unicorn and the flying whale in the Phantom Pain trailer are any indicator it’s that he’s going completely nuts with it.”
That trailer means nothing. It was just a marketing stunt and it worked. A lot of people were excited. Mission accomplished.
Still, it is better then the shit that is happening in DMC anyway, YoungZer0.
@14, You need a screenshot again, Phoenix? right?
You have no arguments here except for stupid rant like “Noooou, U! Fauil”. I listed few facts to you why it is the most craziest and i didn’t even started about Eva with her tricycle and being an agent of Chinese People’s Liberation Army while being at the same time a KGB agent.
I can go further with the Nuclear explosion and Russian environment in general.
you know nothing as always, Phoenix, so If you please, F off.

@13: Nah, in this game she’ll have trouble climbing into a tricycle. Snake will even pick her up and settle her into the seat. Him or Grey Fox. But if it’s Grey Fox, it’ll come right after he’s murdered her whole family, the dog, and the living room couch. Naomi will think the ketchup all over him is delicious.
I think what Ground Zeroes needs is The Boss and time travel. Snake finds a young adult The Boss, stuck in the middle of a war, utterly terrified by all the devastation and begging for someone to come to her rescue. In comes Snake, who trains her to handle all the big scary men out to kill her. At the end of the game, she gets sent back to train Snake, with Snake never knowing that it was only due to Snake’s manly training that she could pass CQC along to him. YOU’VE CREATED A PIME TARADOX.

Keep trying Erth but you fail to post any “facts” what so ever. Opinions are not facts. All of Snake Eater’s bosses were derivatives of the original bosses so you saying that they were crazy is very much saying the original bosses were crazy which just contradicts your entire point.

@18: Yeah, but now it’ll be canon! Besides, we need to see what kind of trauma she experienced in her youth that led to her leaving behind her girlish ways to do all the badass stuff we saw out of her in MGS3.
Though now that I see that youtube video, it’d actually be pretty funny if young adult Boss got sent forward in time briefly and dated MGS2 Raiden. That or MGS2 Raiden also got sent back in time briefly, banged Boss and turned out to be the actual father of her child.

Holy shit, a Lexus LS400, you say? And from a labtop? Good sir or madam, verily your offer both confounds and delights me. I do believe I will take you up on this great enterprise, as it is the noble heart of the American Dream to make $7862.
The mods can feel free to delete this reply if they wish after deleting the bot’s post, I’ll understand completely. Just having some fun.

And time travel? I think that just might actually be worse than MGS2.

@23 – The last time the mods removed a spambot comment, it screwed up the order of the comments and made it look like I told myself to get ointment for the butthurt. It was a very awkward moment in VG247 history.

Loki is not usually offensive to the staff, which is odd, normally he’s just a predictable anti-PC troll and it’s funny.

I love them all, even two. Even though the story was kind of difficult to understand the gameplay was so damn addictive I’m still playing it until this day.
