Mojang has had offers from "nearly every major gaming company"

Everybody wants a piece of Minecraft developer Mojang, but its founders refuse to sell up.

In an interview feature on Reuters, Mojang founders Markus "Notch" Persson, Carl Manneh and Jakob Porser reportedly said Mojang has had acquisition offers from "nearly every major gaming company in the world".

EA is known to have been one of these acquisitive companies.

The article also says Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker made a powerful push to try and buy into the company, which remains private.

Mojang is believed to have made $240 million in 2012, and Minecraft sales totalled 15 million last year, but Mojang wants to stay small.

Mojang is also working on upcoming card-battler Scrolls and space sim 0x10c, and publishing Cobalt.
