The Walking Dead Collector’s Edition will be exclusive to GameStop

The fanciest retail bundle of Telltale’s downloadable adventure series The Walking Dead will only be available at GameStop.

The publisher confirmed the exclusivity arrangement with IGN.

The $70 bundle is only available with pre-orders and is apparently “extremely limited”. It includes The Walking Dead Compendium One, which collects the first 48 issues of the comic, and an exclusive Charlie Adlard-illustrated case.

The standard edition is expected to retail at $30; both version come on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Release plans outside the US are yet to be announced. Telltale’s last retail release, the Jurassic Park bundle, was cancelled in Europe altogether, so I’d be happy just to see the standard edition turn up, really.

The fifth and final episode of The Walking Dead is due in November.

I think the JP bundle was cancelled on account of the game being a pile of shit.
