Castle Crashers Steam release date announced

Castle Crashers will wend its way to your Steam-equipped PC or Mac by the end of the month.

The Behemoth has announced Castle Crashers’ Steam release date as September 26.

Although pre-purchase isn’t available yet, the digital distribution service has added a catalogue page for the popular side-scroller, which began as a flash game before making very successful assaults on Xbox Live Arcade and later the PlayStation Network.

Castle Crashers is still one of the best-selling games on both console networks and has over 3 million players. It has four-player co-op and a huge variety of weapons and animal companions with which to tackle its 40 weapons; all 25 characters have their own little quirks, too.
