EA Australia’s “something big” revealed as early-access tour

EA has announced an inaugural First Play Game Tour, bringing unreleased games to locations around the country so gamers can go hands-on.

The tour, which was teased yesterday, will give you the opportunity to play FIFA 13, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Dead Space 3, Crysis 3 “and more”.

First Play will take in five locations, spending four days at each, and include launch events, tournaments, celebrities and give aways.

  • VIC – Westfield Fountain Gate, Melbourne – Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 September, 2012
  • VIC – Highpoint Shopping Centre, Melbourne – Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 September, 2012
  • NSW – Westfield East Gardens – Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 September, 2012
  • NSW – Westfield Parramatta – Tuesday 25 to Sunday 30 September, 2012
  • QLD – Westfield Carindale – Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 October, 2012

When I read “First Play” I thought it was going to be something like BF Premium but for games. Like you pay in advance $200 and you get 5 games when they’re gonna be out. You save some money.

To be fair, it was done by EA Australia and not EA global. I’m not sure why people thought this might have been something huge…
