Warframe alpha trailer shows off Digital Extremes’ F2P effort
Warframe is a third-person, free-to-play sci-fi shooter from the team behind The Darkness 2, and now we can look at it in action.
The trailer starts off with a re-introduction to the game’s plot, but moves onto what we’re all here for – super ninja powers in a team shooter context. Digital Extremes did an excellent job bringing unusual powers to a shooter with The Darkness 2, which makes me pretty excited to see how Warframe shapes up.
Warframe sports procedurally generated, multiplayer PvE action, loads of customisation, and – to reiterate – awesome ninja powers. Sign up for the beta which starts in northern winter.
Thanks, Destructoid.

I put a bog standard link to the beta in there, but if you want my affection you could also use my referral link.

The Darkness 2 was much underappreciated if you ask me.
But really, that’s not because of the multiplayer. That was pretty short and forgettable. Whenever they decide to do something storydriven again, I’ll be there.
This one looks more like Mass Effect, if someone forgot to pay the electric bill.
