Videogamer has gotten its hands on United Front’s upcoming actioner, Sleeping Dogs, and has posted 40 minutes of gameplay featuring commentary from the staff. It’s posted below. Sleeping Dogs releases in August on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Thanks, Evil Avatar.

    @7 Pffff, there are far better reasons to hate us than that!

    I was asking about “the” PC though. I know that buying a console means that you have to link yourself up with the rest of the borg and fight all other platforms, but on the PC we’re a bit more sophisticated than that.

    Personal computer. As in for people. As in for individuals. As in whatever your platform is, it sucks ass.

    (Gosh, I hope the satire shines through there, I’ve read less radical statements that were deadly serious :P )

    So yeah, the game…

    I like the look of this combat. It looks like a vastly improved version of what Yakuza does. That series is seriously starting to show its age. A lot of what was in True Crime is still there, but it’s a *lot* faster.

    Indeed. The combat looks really good and the devs realized this too, let’s just hope they didn’t think having to fight baddies in (way too many) missions would be fun. With that i mean, hopefully there’s enough variety in the missions. I really wish for this one to succeed, it’s gonna silence my hunger for GTA V, that definitely won’t be out this year anymore.
