Prototype 2 releasing on PC despite lay-offs

Prototype 2 is still releasing on PC, Radical's confirmed, despite the studio being reduced to a "support" capacity by Activision last week.

"For PC gamers, rest assured that the PC version of Prototype 2 is still going to launch on July 24th as planned," the studio wrote on its Facebook page.

"And a special 'thanks' to the Prototype Army and all our extremely loyal and passionate fans for supporting Radical Entertainment. We couldn't have come this far without you."

Prototype 2 released on 360 and PS3 in April.

Activision said last Thursday that the opn-world game's developer will no longer develop its own products, but will instead be minimized to support other existing products within the publisher.

Thanks, G4.
