Cross-realm zones coming to Mists of Pandaria beta

Blizzard will introduce cross-realm zones into the Mists of Pandaria beta. This will allow players to meet up and group with others in under populated areas of the world such as low level zones or areas which have been out-leveled by higher-level players. Cross-realm will allow players to form a group with others from “within a select pool of realms” in order to quest while the social structures of players’ home realms will remain intact. Capitals, the Auction Houses, and other high-population areas won’t be joined. You can view the FAQ on cross-realm zones here.

“That guesting thing Guild Wars 2 is doing sure looks like a good idea!”

I am amused. Though this does sound much more restrictive than that.

@1 It makes sure that every zone is at least mildly populated. Nothing more, nothing less. It also enables you to quest with a friend over RealID. However much GW2s guesting feature may rock, this is still a great addition to World of Warcraft.

Would’ve been better 5 years ago when I actually played it.
