Kickstarter for The Banner Saga ends with $723,886 pledged

Stoic Studio’s round of Kickstarter funding for The Banner Saga has ended with $723,886 pledged by 20,042 backers.

The firm’s initial goal was to hit $100,000 in funding, and once it hit the $650,000 mark it could afford to port the title to PSN and XBLA and now with even more funding added, the firm will be able to add player-owned cities in multiplayer.

Stoic is also looking into a Vita version, and while it can’t promise it will release on the platform, it would “really like to get it on the Vita at some point.”

The turn-based strategy adventure game is estimated for release at the end of the year, it could slip into next year due to all the extras being added.

Multiplayer was always to be in the game, the 700K allowed them to include player owned cities in the already planned multiplayer.

Looks like Disney’s Sleeping Beauty… I like the art direction choices.

@4 How do you it looks good? So far they’ve only showed an animated trailer.
