SWTOR launches in Asia Pacific Territories with regional servers

Good news Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore: Star Wars: The Old Republic has officially launched your country with regional servers.

Two versions of the game are available: the Standard Edition for $79.99 AUD/$89.99 NZD/$389.00 HKD/64.90 SGD, and the Digital Deluxe Edition exclusive to Origin for $89.99 AUD/$99.99 NZD/$465.00 HKD/$76.90 SGD.

Each version of the game will come with 30 days of game time, and after those 30 days player can choose a sub plan to purchase 60-Day Pre-Paid Game Time Cards.

Players will also be given the opportunity to receive "the Founder’s Medal" which is an in-game title awarded to early players of the game.

In order to qualify, players must complete one of the following transactions by Monday, April 30, 12:01AM EDT, 2:00AM NZDT; Hong Kong & Singapore: Sunday, April 29 9:01PM HKT, 9:01PM SGT:

  • Billed at least once for an active Star Wars: The Old Republic recurring subscription
  • Redeemed a Star Wars: The Old Republic 60-Day Pre-Paid Game Time Code

Those who already playing SWTOR will have a limited-time opportunity to migrate their characters from their current servers to Asia Pacific servers in late April. No specific date has been confirmed at this time. An email to all qualified players will be sent out by early March with more details.

SWTOR was released in the US and Europe in December 2011.
