Starbreeze takes piss at PC pirates, includes .nfo file with Syndicate
As Starbreeze releases Syndicate on PC and home consoles today in Europe, one player has discovered its included an .nfo file in actual copies of the game.
In case you don’t know, .nfo files are typically found in games cracked and then put online by pirates. This time, the file found in Syndicate for PC was included by Starbreeze.
The file itself contains story information, contact details on getting a job at the studio, if there’s copy protection or not and two simple install notes:
- 1) Insert disc
- 2) Play
Simple enough. Go do that: it’s out today on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Install Notes: copy all files from skidrow folder to the game directory c/programfiles/EA/synidcate
