Crystal Dynamics to unveil new IP this year

Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics will lift the veil off its new IP at some point this year, the studio's said.

In a blog post on Square Enix Members EU, studio community manager Meagan Marie said the unveil would form part of the developer's year alongside the launch of Tomb Raider's reboot and its 20th anniversary.

"The New Year ushers in more than just fresh calendars and renewed resolutions. 2012 will prove to be a very exciting year for Crystal Dynamics, more so than any in recent memory," she said.

"Not only will our team be eating, sleeping, and breathing Tomb Raider, but we’ll also be hard at work preparing to reveal exciting new intellectual property to the world."

CD is already known to be working on a new property alongside the Tomb Raider reboot; studio director Darrell Gallagher confirmed the new property's existence last July.

Chatter related to the IP began back in March.
