Beyond Good & Evil 2 concept art shown at Montpellier In Game 2011

Thanks to the wonders of mobile phone technology, you too can see the exclusive Beyond Good & Evil 2 presentation from Montpellier In Game 2011.

Beyond Good & Evil and Rayman creator Michel Ancel took to the stage with Ubisoft colleague and original Prince of Persia creator Jorden Mechner to give a talk about development. During the course of the presentation, Ancel showed off concept art and even an environment video from Beyond Good & Evil 2.

Ubisoft has been quite clear that the game's development has been put on hold for now, and towards the end of the video, the presentation cuts to a video released at least two years ago - so don't get too excited. These are probably elderly assets from an indefinitely shelved project.

Watch the relevant portion of the presentation below. The Montpellier In Game expo drew over 34,000 visitors between November 18 and 20.
