LA Noire creator’s new game tackles a “great untold story”
Former Team Bondi boss and founder Brendan McNamara has a new project in the works.

“It’s pretty interesting. It’s one of the great untold stories of the twentieth century. So I think it’ll be good,” McNamara told Eurogamer.
The LA Noire writer and director wouldn’t go into details, saying only that the game is planned for a triple A console release, and hinting at a possible evolution from past works.
“We think the evolution from The Getaway to L.A. Noire and learning the lessons we did on the way, and some of the stuff about emerging storytelling, is definitely an avenue to pursue,” he said.
“I learnt a tonne of things from doing L.A. Noire which will hopefully play into what we do next.”
McNamara doesn’t have a development team since Team Bondi – the studio he founded in Sydney – folded, but is chasing publisher support.
“A lot of people who were working on L.A. Noire have gone across to KMM, some of them to be working on some of the film projects. A lot of the art and animation guys went across. Some of the people have gone to work in different Rockstar studios,” he revealed.
“I’m personally just writing some new stuff now, which I’ve been pitching around for the last couple of weeks. Hopefully I’ll have something to announce on that pretty soon. There are a few people interested. I’ve still got to do the paperwork.”
McNamara said he hopes to be able to reveal the game in more detail within a few weeks.
Despite the success of LA Noire, the scandal-ridden Team Bondi shuttered in September.
Thanks, Shack.

Hopefully he learned a new management style, as he seemed to piss off his prior team. I had heard that he was with KMM himself, I guess that didn’t work out?

Recruiting now! Anyone up for a fair amount of abuse and ridiculously long working hours. And no work recognition and very little pay! Anyone?
I’m surprised anyone would work with this asshole!
