Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition trailer goes behind the scenes

Another gift from New York Comic Con, a new trailer for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition waxes nostalgic and shows off the gleam of the HD makeover.

In this behind-the-scenes video, 343 Industries staffers discuss the personal impact of the game which established the Xbox and Xbox LIVE as major players on the console scene.

The game’s dual engine-enabled graphics switch feature, which can be toggled in-game with a button press, is demonstrated, and there’s some interesting tidbits on how 343 dealt with the difficulties of making Master Chief look just right when he’s been given a polishing.

Multiplayer, Kinect, 3D, and skulls all get a lookin, as well – there’s plenty of info to mine for hardcore fans.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition launches on November 15, exclusively for Xbox 360.

Thanks, CVG.

Wasn’t Xbox live a Halo 2 innovation? I.e. Halo 1 was a LAN / splitscreen only game unless you played via a 3rd party hack or the PC version?

Yeah, but it’s not system-level integrated, as far as I know. Blops had 3D support.

Say what you like about Sony, they’ve certainly done very well with their ‘only PS3 can do 3D’ FUD campaign. :-)

@5: Batman:Arkham City runs in 3D just as well on an X360 as it does a PS3. I’ve seen it in action!
