An interesting patent has turned up suggesting Sony may be investigating some sort of PS Move support system for portable consoles.
BYTE Unplugged uncovered the recently-published patent, which shows a dock for a handheld console.
By means of a built in camera, the dock allows the PS Move to be used to control the device. It only has a narrow vision range, but can rotate to follow the player.
The patent (PDF) itself shows a PSPgo, but as Sony has discontinued the console, it’s safe to assume any pursuit of this tech will favour the PSP – or more likely, the NGP.
The NGP is already set to include a faceplate camera, although bluetooth controller support – like the PSP’s – hasn’t been detailed.
