Crytek’s Cevat Yerli “deeply disappointed” in Crysis 2 leak
Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli has said that whilst the company is “deeply disappointed” in the recent leak of a dev build of Crysis 2 for PC, it is “still focused” on nailing the final game.
Yerli said in a statement on the MyCrysis community that the German developer’s been “completely overwhelmed” from the community response over the leak of an unfinished build of the shooter.
“As you all have heard by now, an early, incomplete build of Crysis 2 has been leaked online. While we are deeply disappointed by these events, we are all completely overwhelmed by the support we have received from you, our community,” said Yerli.
“Despite this unfortunate incident, we can assure you that PC gaming is very important to us and will always be important to Crytek in the future. We are all still focused on delivering a great gaming experience to our true and honest fans.
“I hope you will enjoy Crysis 2 on PC, as we think it is our best PC game yet!”
Crysis 2 releases on March 22 in the US and March 25 in the UK for PC, 360 and PS3.

Speaking about Crysis 2….the recent two new videos are absolutely amazing. One shows lots of gameplay from the campaign, it’s the 360 version. In terms of….everything it looks damn impressive. And the story trailer is just sickening epic.

The leak will not huet them in the slightest,its an early build thats suprisingly very pretty considering.I got it but didnt want to play much of it to be honest,i felt like i was cheating myself with a sub par experience,i think 99% of people that had a go will agree.to be honest,im more pumped to buy it and get online.I dont believe it was leaked on purpose but you never know these days,clever pr if true.IMO.
Its going to be epic.

Eh, meh. I really believe it have no impact on sales, nothing. The beta is buggy as hell. it doesn’t even have proper sounds.
