The Sims 3 arrives on Steam

"I am not interested in playing virtual soap opera dollies," you tell yourself. "And anyway, I only buy games through digital distribution on account of living in the future."

But EA know the deep secrets of your Sim-torturing heart. The Sims 3 is now available on Steam.

The Sims 3 released half way through June 2009 and shifted 1.4 million units in its first week, dominating PC charts around the world for months afterwards. Apparently not content with this nearly unprecedented success in PC gaming, EA are chasing the digital dollar, too. Good on them.

Ripten reports that for the somewhat disconcertingly non-round sum of $104.97 you can purchase the Ultimate Bundle, which includes everything and then some more things, too, as detailed below.

- The Sims 3
- The Sims 3: Late Night
- The Sims 3: World Adventures
- The Sims 3: Ambitions
- The Sims 3: Fast Lane Stuff
- The Sims 3: High-End Loft Stuff
