Analyst: Dead Space 2 “significantly outselling” original

If the hypsesplosion somehow didn’t tip you off to this, Dead Space 2 is pretty damn nifty. Apparently those of you with dollars in your pockets are expressing your opinion on the matter in the capitalist way, blowing the socks off the original game’s sales performance.
According to Industry Gamers, Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia says the sequel is “significantly outselling” the original Dead Space, which gathered a fanatical following but didn’t really burst into bestseller territory.
EA has not yet released any sales data, and we’re not due for regular charts for a few days yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see precisely how much Dead Space 2 killed it in its first week.
A round up of Dead Space 2 reviews shows an alarmingly high level of agreement on the horrific title’s charms, and an examination of clotheslines around the world suggest it is having the desired effect.
