Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed via Twitter that Gran Turismo Anywhere will be available in “early February.”

The new B-Spec feature will allow remote races to be started from the gran-turismo.com official website, where you can also monitor progress and check results from the race.

There is no specific date as yet other than February.

B-Spec is GT5′s RPG-style mode, where you manage races and drivers rather than driving the cars yourself.

Thanks, GTPlanet.

Other sites are claiming your PS3 will need to be on and logged in while you use the browser function to race. I hope this is not true, as it is hard enough to justify using electricity to run a PS3 for B-Spec races let alone a PS3 and a PC.

Makes sense… I can’t really see Sony running servers to let you race your drivers there.
