The Last Story might be Sakaguchi's last game

The Last Story

Mistwalker boss Hironobu Sakaguchi has said that upcoming Wii RPG The Last Story could be his final game.

Speaking in a blog post on the developer's website, he said: "I am completely pouring everything into this one, there is a strong feeling this may be my last work."

Sakaguchi's first project was an NES title known as Rad Racer in 1987, before moving onto Final Fantasy in the same year for Square.

He then left the company to found Mistwalker in 2001, with three projects emerging from the studio so far: Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon for Xbox 360, and ASH for DS.

The Last Story got its first trailer last week after a January reveal.

No date for it as yet. Thanks, Siliconera.
