SCEA hints at hardware reveal during E3 – 2+2=?

Sony may be hinting at new hardware being revealed during E3, if a message on the official site is anything to go by.
Visiting the E3 section of the US Playstation site greets you with this message:
“The E3 2010 Expo is coming! Meet us here to find out what awesome PlayStation games and hardware are being revealed.”
So what could Sony be up to? Could we really see PSP2 being revealed on Tuesday, despite us being told otherwise a reveal was being kept until at least August at gamescom or September at TGS?
Or could Sony be preparing yet another revision of PlayStation 3?
All will be revealed in a few days time.

Maybe they’ll do a 3DS. Say “hey, it’s on the way!” and keep it under wraps for a couple of months longer.

2+2 = Sony tablet
Just kidding, but to be serious, i don’t expect them to talk much about PSP 2. They are probably going to show PSP 2, but won’t talk about it much and the biggest information about it we will see at Gamescom or TGS.

Or it’s just the final design of Move being revealed.

2+2=5! Lol!
Pachter says that psp2 will be at e3, this confirms that psp2 will NOT be at e3.

Cant see Sony showing the PSP2 at E3. I think they will announce/show at GamesCom or Tokyo Games Show later in year. They will see what Nintendo has pulled out the bag with the 3DS before they show their hand…
Sony E3 2010 = Move,3D tech and PSN Premium….

UMD port on the new PS3 Slim 350 Gig. Simply put your PSP’s UMD’s into the slot provided and play your PSP games on your HDTV, using the new PSP Upscaler
Does anyone remember the TG16, and the Turbo Express…You could simply take your TG16 Cards and plug them into your Turbo Express Handheld and play on the go….Can you imagine if you could take your PS3 Games and put them into a Hand Held on the Go just like the TG16 did way back then…Holy Buddha that would be sweet! Wonder if that will ever happen again, sure would cut down on development costs, having to make separate medium for different systems.

Hardware is hardware and peripheral is peripheral.

@14 Where is it hardware? You know what is hardware? I think not.
Hardware is a general term for the physical artifacts of a technology also this is the physical electronic components (such as Terminal or Connector) of a computer system.

Ain’t the move controllers quite hardware-ish?

@16 It’s just a motion-sensing game controller or a peripheral.
Hardware is a physical artifact of a computer system ONLY.

Yep, Move has all of that. Seriously, I’m completely baffled how anybody could think it’s NOT hardware.

@18 Because it’s a MOTION-SENSING GAME CONTROLLER. It’s not a COMPUTER SYSTEM. God damn it.

@19 But it is a PHSICAL ELECTRONIC COMPONENT of a computer system; the ps3.

Move contains physical electronic components processing software instructions. That sounds like a computer system to me. If it isn’t then maybe I need to reconsider the quality of my degrees in electronic engineering and my subsequent career in the electronics industry.
Meh, who cares. Let’s agree to disagree.

@21 So Mouse and keyboard is also a hardware? Riiight? To put it simple,
Hardware is something that is inside in the box that will enable machine to work. Playstation Move is just a motion-sensing controller with three-axis accelerometer
@20, can that Physical component use CPU power, videocard and it’s a main power? No, it’s not. It’s just a controller, like mouse and keyboard.
+ read: The E3 2010 Expo is coming! Meet us here to find out what awesome PlayStation games and (!) hardware (!) are being (!) revealed (!). Well have exclusive articles, info about new and enchanced games for the PLAYSTATION MOVE motion controller…”
So new hardware have nothing to do with the Playstation Move. It’s a computer system. It’s something related to the PSP 2 or a new other hardware. Case closed.

@23 it doesnt matter if it can use CPU power, video card or whatever, its still a physical electronic component of a computer system

I’m pretty sure this hardware is just going to be a new PS3 SKU, most likely one with an even larger HDD to justify cutting the price of the ‘old’ models slightly.
