EA’s put live the demo for Skate 3 on Xbox Live Marketplace.

The BlackBox taster comes in at a meaty 863Mb. Lovely. Queue it up here if you fancy it.

Hit this video to see what you’ll be experiencing in the demo for when you download it.

Not one to miss out, it’s also up on the PSN as part of today’s PlayStation Store update for PlayStation 3.

Skate 3 releases on May 11 in the US and May 14 in the UK for PS3 and Xbox 360

So far, I’m really liking the demo. Much more impressive than Skate 2 was imo. I got on board skating games with Skate or Die (autographed by Tony Hawk in person with pictures i might add) then rode all the way through the birth, the supreme reign, and the death of Tony Hawks Pro Skater series (hi Skate 1, TH:ProvingGround & RIDE!;)

Until playing the demo today, I was not really caring about Skate 3 as it just looked more of the same. After playing the demo (and about to go back and play more – home sick from work today), I am excited about it and may considering picking it up. Very impressed with the level of all around polish and improvements both in terms of looks and handling.

Does it actually look any better than Skate 2 in your opinion? Cause i certainly didn’t see it when playing the demo of Skate 3. The bail thing was fun though, to see what kind of bones your skater was breaking and shit.

But i don’t know, i think i prefer the other skate games where you don’t use the analog stick for moves, i can’t seem to get used to it.

(IMO) yes much cleaner, sharper, and smoother than Skate 2. That goes for gameplay/controls too (jumping on and off your board while running in multiple directions is one good example)
