You “shouldn’t be surprised” to hear Just Cause 3 announcement, says Avalanche

Avalanche boss Christofer Sundberg has told Develop that people “shouldn’t be surprised” to see a Just Cause 3 announced.

And why not? The just-released Just Cause 2 went to number one in the UK yesterday, dislodging God of War III.

“I think there are a lot of connections with [Avalanche and] the IP,” said Sundberg, “and so we hope there’s still a future in it, and that future to live as long as us.”

He further added he wouldn’t want any other studio being giving development duties for it, saying Avalanche “lives and breathes” on the IP.

“The studio lives and breathes the Just Cause franchise, and handing that over to another developer would spoil it. No one has the attachment to this IP as we do.”

The studio is set to begin work on some DLC content for Just Cause 2, as Sundberg told VG247 in an interview last week.

This time, maybe better story, cut scenes, voice and variety of missions?

While all of those^ things are bad, I couldn’t care less about them. It’s much more fun to roam the islands with no aim anyway.

Fuck what that guys says. When they announce JC3 I’m gonna be surprised and there’s nothing he can do about it.
