Don’t expect 4 to come out in the west – 3 is flopping in a big, big way.

2013 in Occident, thanks Sega…
@NGCes26294BIV
Sega sucks in marketing, they dont give a shit about selling this game properly in West, that make me sick, otherwise the 3 sell very well in France

PSP Yakuza would be good, actually. I’d buy that.

@Blerk – Did the first not even make the Top 40?

You’re right, I fibbed!
The original went into the chart at number 20, dropped to 24 the next week and then vanished completely. Gawd bless Wikipedia and the ChartTrack archive.

I’m really enjoying Yakuza 3 at the moment, even though it’s apparently been cut-down to save time. It would be a shame if they don’t release more of them over here.

The problem with Yakuza is that its not called Shenmue.
Ha. No. Seriously though, the problem is that gamers love to bang on about how good it is, and how desperate they are to have it released in the west, and then when it finally arrives no fucker buys it.
Fo’ shame.

I absolutely would have bought it if they’d made it for a platform that I owned.

I keep buying Yakuza games in the hope that one day we’ll get our much deserved Shenmue 3.

I loved Shenmue. The first one, especially, was immensely brilliant.
