Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions revealed, probably involves swinging

spider-mangameprothing

We say “probably” because – at this point – all we actually know is the game’s title. But we think the swinging bit is a fairly safe bet, so we’re standing by it.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions’ title has been outed by a new GamePro cover. And that’s pretty much the full extent of it.

Due to the recent directorial shake-up over in Spider-Man 4 land, though, we’re guessing Shattered Dimensions is follwing in the oh-so-sticky footsteps of Ultimate Spider-Man and distancing itself from the soon-to-be (and not a moment too soon, after Spider-Man 3) rebooted movie franchise.

Guess we’ll find out for sure sooner or later. Which really doesn’t mean anything when you think about it.

Be it a movie tie in , ultimate based , or regular comics based , i sadly got no confidence in Activision’s ability to ever produce a good spiderman game .

Yeah yeah once upon a time , spidey 2 … ok that one was alright , but hardly the best thing for such a franchise trimming with potential imho .

I loved the first 2 Spiderman games on the PSone. It’s when it went to a free-roam sandbox approach that it went arse. Swinging got boring and there were a finite variety of criminals to beat up. My favourite bit on the PS2 games became “Can you survive jumping off the Empire state?” Sometimes yes… Didn’t buy the PS3 games.
