The Mass Effect 2 review round-up of “I have to go and buy this game”
Congratulations, US kiddlewinks: Mass Effect 2 is now available on the West Coast.
East Coasters got it five hours ago.
For the rest of you, you’re wondering what it’s like, right? Hit the jump.
The reviews embargo for all online reviews just expired, so it’s go time for all the other reviews to get out after the region exclusives yesterday from IGN and NowGamer.
It currently has a meta-score of 97 for the 360 version, (thanks, Deathstar), which makes it the second highest rated Xbox 360 title ever next to Grand Theft Auto IV’s 98.

Grrrr i need this game but am currently playing through Fallout 3/Dragon Age!!! I’ll prob get it come fridays release and then have it there waiting lol!

It’s funny, my PC would eat this alive… but for some reason I just enjoyed playing the first game more on the 360.
Besides, that’s where my favourite Shepard is.

Gah. GAME screwed up my 360 collector’s edition pre-order, and of course now they’re completely sold out of them. I’d get it on PC, but I want to carry on with my ME1 save. Sad times.

Woohoo. The CE showed up on Game again, and I was able to get an order in.
(It’s not a good price, but I don’t care… I was massively pissed off at the thought of missing it)

It sucks to be a PS3 owner? No it doesn’t. I play it on my PC, which is a far superior place for this game than the xbox360.
Brb bragging the game isn’t on PS3… except for 10 bucks cheaper I get it on PC at x2 the quality and customization.
However it does suck how much they dumbed certain aspects of the game down for the xbox360.
