Game Informer ed scotches Fallout: New Vegas cover rumour

Game Informer executive editor Andrew Reiner just confirmed that Fallout: New Vegas is not the magazine's next cover.

A forum post on Gamespot today dropped what appeared to be a wealth of detail on the game, as well as saying the semi-sequel was GI's next pin-up.

"Fallout: New Vegas is NOT Game Informer's next cover," Reiner tweeted.

When asked if he knew whether or not he knew if any of the details in the forum post were correct, Reiner added:

"I have no idea, but seeing that they couldn't identify the magazine correctly, I'd say fake."

Bethesda has already declined to comment on the rumour's detail.

The post, supposedly based on word from a "trusted source," claimed that New Vegas will allow players to start from different background stories, and will contain customisable vehicles and gambling.

The Obsidian's RPG’s play area was said to be much larger than the Capital Wasteland.

Bollocks? Not looking too solid, is it?
