Media Molecule says there are no plans for LBP sequel

Media Molecule has said that there are no plans for a LittleBigPlanet 2.
“We’d never want to do that,” level designer Danny Leaver told Critical Gamer. “That’d be the most counterproductive thing you could do I think.”
“I think what you’ve seen so far from LittleBigPlanet, that’s the way it’s going to continue,” added producer Martin Lynagh. “We have a lot of stuff coming out, especially next year.
“We can’t really talk about specifics for a lot of it at the moment, because a lot of it hasn’t been announced.
“We’re looking forward to some really good original content, and some really strong brands we’re working with.”

Why there should be sequels? Water elements are coming, and I bet just update graphics, physics and more tool updates… Just look at WOW game, still same game since Jesus was born, but they updated everything. No need for LBP2, just upgrade the game and make it look fresh again. And I hope you can create longer levels

There might not be a need, but there is a “LBP2″ project in development.
