First Resident Evil 5 PC review is 9.3/10

IGN’s put up the first review of Resident Evil 5′s PC version, and it’s glowing.

“It may not be a radically new Resident Evil 5, but the PC version of the game still manages to hold its own with an improved control scheme and extra Mercenaries mode,” said the site.

“While the addition of costumes is somewhat minor, and you may require a few upgrades to your computer to take full advantage of what the game has to offer, you’re exploring a great story and excellent gameplay.”

It’s worth a whopping 9.3/10. You’ll be able to buy it next Friday.

Full PC bullshit. To high score. Max score for PC port 8, real 7. it is not Ign review, it is Capcom and Nvidia review. Total IGN disappointing.
Anyway PC games sucks and boring. And RE5 sails on PC fail anyway

Phoenixblight, I’m guessing Tonka is playing with words and initials here; PC stands for both “Personal Computer” and “Political Correct”. Given the controversial comments about Resident Evil 5 being racist, it was rather clever

loki is right about one thing: it is a port, however Capcom are doing a pretty good job these days of ensuring their console-to-PC ports are good value to PC gamers, yeah they’re a bit later to the market, but they’re rock solid and often, like RE5 and SFIV, enhanced to take advantage in some way of the superior hardware on the PC market.

I think Capcom have learned a massive lesson in the last few years, they’ve been porting to PC for a long time, and in the past they’ve been massively guilty of producing shovelware, graphically disappointing, poor controls, crap gamepad support (DMC3: SE anyone? I have that: unplayable unless you have certain gamepads that I don’t have) – so they’ve taken note of the poor sales and woeful feedback and they’ve bucked up their ideas.

Capcom have been one of my favourite devs since the early PS2 era with awesome titles like DMC and Onimusha and I’m happy they’re supporting the PC platform as well as they are.

So fuck you loki the troll.
