Microsoft’s making Live play available for all those buying GTA IV DLC The Lost and Damned later this month. Anyone will be able to play the add-on online, regardless of Live status, from February 17-22.

Great news if you’re still to make the jump to Gold membership.

The Lost and Damned required the full GTA IV disc to play and will cost 1600 MS Points.

I’ve still not played the main game. Either GTA or Fallout 3 next. Which to choose, which to choose….?

It’s 1600 points, Trav. About £13 in real money.

OMG free online play? A revolution for the 360. Go play PS3 and you have free online all the time. Really dont you get it? That how MS makes up for their underpriced 360. Its like the same as cheap printers and the cartridges.

I still can’t see how people can get their knickers in a twist about paying 50 quid/bucks *a year*. I mean, that works out at about one quid/buck per week! And the service is darn spiffy, too. It’s a great deal, IMHO.

I’d rather it be free, obviously, but I hardly think it’s overpriced and certainly not to the same degree as printer cartridges.

If you pay £50 a year you deserve all the ripping off you get anyway. :D

I’m glad they don’t include it in the price of the machine, because then I can exercise my consumer right to not buy it.

    /exercises consumer right
    /consumer right has levelled up
/consumer right is now consumer left
