Killzone 2 demo live on PSN

Yeah some people think its still too expensive. the ps3 speaks for itself? what super games are there on it? a lot of people actually buy the thing just to use as a blu-ray player.

im not hating on the machine or nothing, but there are not as many appealing games to me on the console.

There are just as many if you only own that console.

I dunno, games like Ratchet(though popular,not a system seller), and LittleBigPlanet (which i’ve played and think that it was wayyyy too overhyped…you can’t play that game for hours…) don’t really appeal to me. sure LBP is cute looking a stuff…but after playing that game for 30mins i think u get tired of it.

i know people who have ps3′s and they don’t have a ton of games.

i dunno what is going to work for Sony.. MGS4 wasnt a huge hit/mega seller(even though it was very highly regarded), and LBP didn’t sell as much as they would of expected.

Just played it (and got the add from PT too ;P) and wow… the AI is impressive, gameplay is great though there is some wonky controls and the graphics… I dont even need to say.

MGS4 is the best game I’ve ever played, hands down no questions.

And for a PS3 title, it has sold well at 4 – 5 million units.

But I think what he means is that it could have sold more if it was being a big game comapred to Halo or Gears of War when they sold like 7+ million units or thereabouts.

So, to quote a famous song:

Airdom…. I think Gears of War 2 only sold 5 million worldwide, that’s pretty good for a very niche title on such a small userbase.

And by the way, the controls… I tried alternate 2 and then ended up going back to standard 1, they are actually really great once you get used to it.

Have to say, what I played in Leipzig impressed me far moe than the demo (music asides). I came away from GC really impressed and what I’d seen since looked great.

But the demo really didn’t show off the game for me. I’ll probably still pick it up but I’m having second thoughts about getting it straight away to be fair…

Was it that different? Or was it a different level?

Now onto Dr. Phil while you’re posting your non important opinions on this site weekday and weekends (mega loser for that one) I’m usually doing things a million more times interesting (can’t tell you what B/C i wanna keep this post teen rated and no it doesn’t involve your kind of gay activities). To Johnny C the cost of the ps3 stopped another solid million (no pun attended) from MGS4. Where as gears2 , a good game of course looked nice along a cheap ass xbox with no hard drive. I don’t know where you live but the economy isn’t exactly booming here in the states at the moment. I don’t know why people always have to bring up why MGS4 didn’t sell more than 5 million. To all you assholes, developers at least wish for a million to break evenly. So 4.5 million is great!. Also whats up with the LBP xbot haters. Hey hows Banjo doing? Lets see you build stuff and use it. LBP, you build stuff and you use it. So don’t go there with they are two different games.

As for K2, was none too convinced after first playthrough but was just getting my head round it methinks. A few more and it’s definitely growing on me, just got to get yr head round teh different approach. Loks loveoly as well. Looking fwd to the full game…

p.s. Anyone else think there was something up with their ps3 or tele when the screen kept moving/shaking on menus etc…? Took me a while to realise it was the fabled sixaxis messing around. God knows why they added that, bizarre…

KZ2 is just awesome. For the people who have no life and say its short look between your legs then judge. Initial controls were playable the whole demo even after using controls from cod4. Graphics are great of course. A lot of pissed off xbots this month when they are stuck with halo wars thats for sure. and to the loser poster keep up the good work, maybe 247 will give you a job cleaning their toilets To everyone else enjoy the KZ2 demo.

Len: Initially a few people figured a plant… but if so it’s one hell of an effort to keep it going this long and avoid slipping out of character.

I got the Halo Wars demo at the weekend and I loved it.

Not a Day One buy but it will be picked up soon after.

Haven’t read GAF impressions on Halo Wars…. Nor impressions here.

But I do wish that they got to do an AoE as their sending off title.

@No_PUDing It was a different level. The thing I liked most about the game was how visceral it was. All that’s still there, but I’ve seen prettier levels in other footage and I found the gameplay in the demo section to be pretty meh. I was none too pleased when it ended so abruptly.

Perhaps I’m just less blown away initially having already seen it. I’m still getting it, just perhaps not day one now.
