Gears of War was the most played game on Xbox Live for the week beginning November 10, beating off CoD4 and Halo 3.
What happened to putting these out every week, Microsoft? We used to enjoy writing “Call of Duty 4 wins Live play charts again” every Wednesday for months on end.
Top ten below:
- Gears of War 2
- Call of Duty 4
- Halo 3
- CoD: World at War
- Left 4 Dead Demo
- Fable II
- GTA IV
- Fallout 3
- Madden NFL 09
- Gears of War

Fallout 3? How do you play that on Live?
Or is it just a measure of what games people are playing while connected?

Innit. No idea on that, I’m afraid.

its probaly what people are just playing when connected, theres often a couple of games with no online modes atall, also explains why GeOW2 is at the top, because its near unplayable online, much like the first.

Unplayable you say? You jest, surely.

Larry Hyrb said on his podcast that the format of the data had changed so he couldn’t automatically import it to his website, but they were working on a fix.

It is playable, if you’re extremely patient, and by that a mean 2 matches every hour and a half, if your lucky. The first was the same, only that had an extra loading bug when you found a match, making you stare at an infinite loading screen for about 10mins before forcing you to restart your system.
In all though it dosnt really matter, its online isnt that great, theres just not that much going on compaired to other recent games, its pretty boring.
