CVG’s gone live with the current “rumour” du jour, in that Starbreeze’s EA game is a Syndicate remake.

For the record: it is. Like, it definitely is. Just so you know.

Syndicate was awesome. Glad to see someone with a good dev background getting the shot at re-imagining it.

This could be incredible. Either way, I’m looking forward to seeing what Starbreeze comes up with :D

It will suck, it will be dumbed down for consoles, and they will DRM the fuck out of it - and you KNOW it. I’ve been disappointed by shit like this too many times to remain optimistic.

  7. Blerk said:

Hell, yeah! They’d better not make it all generic and shite.

Mmm! Starbreeze plus Syndicate would be nice.

As long as it’s not just some pished up FPS.

  9. Blerk said:

I can imagine this being almost exactly that, actually. A first-person near-future sandbox with four-player co-op for your team. And multiple human-controlled teams working against each other towards the same target.

Oh well that’d save me a bit of cash then.

I’d really like to see Starbreeze have the balls to NOT do an FPS. With the current gen’s tech the way it is, it might actually be really neat if they tried to do a fully-rotational version like the PSone versh (but not hideously crap and borked like that version was, obviously).

On a related note… I need to get me a persuadertron.
