Reuters: LittleBigPlanet will be available for download

Crossed wires, we’re thinking. This Reuters article claims that LittleBigPlanet will be available as a digital download on release, as well as hitting stores as a Blu-ray disc.

Not so fast, Dama Loca. Sony’s already confirmed the game will appear exclusively on Blu-ray, as you can see in this Joystiq story. Expect SCEE to do so again today.

People still don’t have fast enough internet connections. ;)

Maybe it’s too big? I heard that they were trying to put as much stuff as possible onto to the disc and even if it would fit on a DVD, who spend a day downloading it?

I don’t believe that what so ever I can download any of my games off steam within 1 to 2 hours. That’s games ranging from 700mbs to a full 4.3gbs.

I don’t like discs they are just dust collectors downloading to me is better and I think its pretty shit they aren’t offering this over download.

The reason they aren’t is clear so they can boast about its sales in retail.
