A source close to Rockstar has told us that Microsoft is “wrong” to expect the 360 GTA IV DLC in 2008.
“It’ll be in January or February,” we were told today.
No official release date for the extra content, which is thought to be substantial, has been given as yet.
The content was rumoured this week to be launching in November.
Microsoft is currently saying the “first episodes” of the game’s DLC will ship this “autumn.”
Take-Two itself has officially said that the content will arrive in its first quarter of its next fiscal year, running from November 2008 to January 2009.
Fingers and thumbs. Peters and Pauls. Hopefully we’ll have something official soon.

I really wonder if gamers are still interested in this.
I mean, GTA4 was great and all, but at least for me it’s over and done.
I’d rather like to see R* work on a fresh and new GTA5 than these DLCs …

It did it’s job as a marketing ploy when GTA IV came out, and it fooled a few, but when it finally arrives there will be so many new great games on the market that no one cares anymore.

@ XDamage
I agree 100%!

I did say this at the time. I said that nobody would care once about the GTAIV DLC after a few months, and I’m right.

Should be interesting to see how it sells. If it’s compelling I’ll pick it up.

I’ll definitely get it. I’m one of the (seemingly) very few people that thought GTAIV was brilliant.

I enjoyed the game… but I think that was probably for the same reason others didn’t like it. It wasn’t as sandboxy (yeah, I know that’s not a word) as San Andreas.

Oh behave everyone. This is going to sell tons being as it is the only place for brand new GTA ‘content’.

Yer I am one of the army of haters.
It just didn’t have the same art direction or attractionf of GTAIII, that was I hoping for with a return to Liberty City.
