Rein plays down Comic Con Gears 2 showing
Following a press release saying there would be a games panel at Comic Con in New York later this month, and that Gears of War 2 would be shown at the event, Epic boss Mark Rein has seemingly clarified that the mega-sequel won’t be shown at all.
“I’m not aware that we’re showing anything there,” Rein told videogaming247.
The original release said that “the [event’s] gamer summit will begin with a presentation… discussing the origin of the Gears of War saga, its unprecedented success, and offering a glimpse into this year’s upcoming Gears of War 2.”
Sounds like Mr Comic Con may have his wires crossed, then.

Banjo will be this year. In fact, 3 Rare titles this year, or so they say. Halo wars most likely too. ANyway sod it, you ensnared me!
Out of pure interest, what big PS3/Wii titles are scheduled for Q4?

I don’t mean that I don’t believe Banjo will make it, I mean Banjo’s a load of old crap.
Wii – haven’t a clue. None for Europe, probably.
PS3, didn’t Pat post a list the other day? Resistance 2 and… some other stuff. I seem to think LBP and Killzone(lol) were down for Q3.
Not much for me, anyway! Hurrah!

Resistance 2 and LBP will be the big two, I reckon. Killzone no chance. The biggest game past MGS is FFXIII: that’ll be the thing that really sends it over the top in Japan, but I doubt that’ll be released anywhere this year.

I actually knew about that already, I don’t think it’s secret, is it? Regardless, I really liked the others so unless they stuff it up spectacularly then it’s almost certainly a buy. Good to know it’s due for the hols, anyhow.

Yeah but it’s more what I know about it. From the sounds of it mate, it seems like they’re getting it ‘right’ this time. They want you to cry like in FFVII apparently…
Hopefully they’ll be an (hopefully) exclusive interview within a couple of weeks.
