Yooka Laylee - How to Beat Capital B and Complete the Game, Final Boss Guide

Yooka-Laylee is a large game, but to finish it you're going to need to take on the big man himself: Capital B. In this guide we'll walk you through the game's final boss fight, detailing each stage of the fight and how to survive. Includes how to beat the final boss in the Nintendo Switch version of Yooka Laylee.

Beat Capital B Yooka-Laylee

In stage 1 of the Capital B fight you need to get up close to him and spin attack. He'll fire bee hives out that release, SURPRISE!, bees. These will come for you, so use your Sonar 'Splosion to repel them. Once you've smashed him enough times you'll trigger stage 2 of the fight.

In stage 2 you can attack Capital B using snowballs. Avoid his projectiles and use his downtime to spray him with ice bullets. Repeat this and you'll make it to stage 3 of the Capital B fight. Now the room is changed and Capital B will slam into the ground to cause shockwaves. Jump and hover over each blast then get in close and attack Capital B. After a few waves he'll trigger stage 4.

Stage 4 of the Capital B boss fight is more or less the same as stage 3, but with the added threat of bees. Capital B will launch bees at you, so keep running and jumping to avoid them and his slams, then repel the bees using the Sonar 'Splosion before getting in close and attacking him.

Now onto stage 5 of the boss battle against Capital B and he makes things trickier by shrinking the play area and throwing bee hive bombs. This means there are three blast waves to avoid. Do this successfully a couple of times and then go in to attack him. You'll probably have to do this twice before he once again shrinks the play area.

Stage 6 of the Capital B boss fight is the same as five but throws in bees. With the smaller area to walk in and the bees to contend with you'll have to be very careful as you need to keep moving and avoid the blasts. Once Capital B is done, use Sonar 'Splosion to repel the bees and then go in and smash him. Do this two times and he'll change things up again.

Thankfully you'll now be on the final stage of the Capital B boss fight. He takes the sky and starts firing missiles at you, but this will eventually be his undoing. One the missiles are airborne take flight yourself and fly behind Capital B. The missiles will fly into him. Repeat this process until Capital B bites the dust.
