Yooka Laylee Pirate Treasure Location Guide

Find all the secret pirate treasure and unlock the Private Pillage, Secret Salvage, and Captain’s Cache Trophies and Achievements. Includes the Nintendo Switch version of Yooka-Laylee.

Yooka-Laylee is full of items to find, but none are more hidden than five pieces of pirate treasure. One item is hidden in each of Yooka-Laylee’s game worlds, and in this guide we’ll tell you how to find each item of pirate treasure. They are in some rather out of the way locations, so follow our guide to get them all without any difficulty. Includes a guide to the Nintendo Switch version of Yooka-Laylee.

If you’ve already found all of the Yooka Laylee pirate treasure then head on over to our Yooka Laylee guide hub. On there you’ll find plenty more info on such interesting topics as Pagie Locations, Ghost Writer Locations, and Special Moves.

By finding all five pieces of pirate treasure you’ll also unlock three trophies/achievements. These are the Private Pillage, Secret Salvage, and Captain’s Cache Trophies and Achievements. These are earned by finding one, three, and five pieces of treasure respectively.

Pirate Treasure in Tribalstack Tropics

The pirate treasure in Tribalstack Tropics is found under the structure that Rampo (the world boss) sits atop. A section is cut out of the brick. You can either just get up there once you can fly or climb until you reach the final set of fire jets, drop down, then jump around the side of the building.

Pirate Treasure in Glitterglaze Glacier

The pirate treasure in Glitterglaze Glacier is annoyingly located in the Gloomy Gem Grotto. Follow the normal path through the area until you reach a moving platform with a smiley face on it. Next fly to the top of the room and then head towards a mountain like formation. The pirate treasure is on top of this.

Pirate Treasure in Moodymaze Marsh

The pirate treasure in Moodymaze Marsh is found on top of the pumping station (that is home to the water block puzzle). Head up the outside of the pumping station and you’ll find the treasure right at the top on one of the pipes coming out of the structure.

Pirate Treasure in Capital Cashino

The pirate treasure in Capital Cashino is found in a really annoying place if you’ve been hunting high and low for it. Head into the world and then look behind you. The pirate treasure is on top of a lamp on the wall directly behind the grand tome. Fly up there and the pirate treasure is yours.

Pirate Treasure in Galleon Galaxy

The pirate treasure in Galleon Galaxy first requires you to make your way over to Velocity Terminal. Once you’re there, take the first right. Once you’re through the door fly up and head towards the two planet-like structures on the far side. The pirate treasure is sitting on top of the far most planet.

We’ve got loads more for you elsewhere on the site once you’ve found all the pirate treasure in Yooka Laylee. That includes a pagie location guide for Tribalstack Tropics and Glitterglaze Glacier, how to find all the ghost writers, and a look at all of Yooka-Laylee’s special moves.

With all the pirate treasure found, you can bask in the knowledge that you've found some of the trickiest items to find in Yooka-Laylee.
