A Minecraft player has spent two years recreating Chernobyl in the game.

A Minecraft player who goes by the name Janisko has spent the last two years building Chernobyl in the game.

Called Chernobyl Universe, the map is being made to play in survival mode and aims to mirror the real Chernobyl Zone. Janisko also sad there will be maps built from the Stalker series.

"I am going to build both Chernobyl and other southernmost areas of the zone, as well as the Belarusian part and even the city of Poliske, for example, to inspire Stalker's Dead City map, " said Janisko on Planet Minecraft.

"When building this very large map, I proceed with as much data as possible, which I draw mainly from the Internet, such as Google Maps and other useful things. Of course, not all information can be obtained from the Internet, but unfortunately, I do not have other conveniences of data acquisition, which means that when I am forced by this fact, I have to build a little interior improvisation and designation of some buildings or layout some areas I simply have to think."

The second progressive part v0.02 is available now, and you download it now through the link (thanks, doompussy).
