SEGA developing action-simulation title Samurai & Dragons for Vita

SEGA has announced via Famitsu that it's developing an action-simulation hybrid title called Samurai & Dragons for Vita.

The game, according to a translation from Gamespot, will be in a similar vein to SNES 2D side-scroller Actraiser, which had players creating civilizations and killing demons throughout the area.

With Samurai & Dragons, the action components will allow up to four players to try and clear a dungeon of mummies, dragons, mummies, and ogres, and while acquiring loot. The strategy part involves players using their earned treasures to build a customizable city and train and army made of monsters.

Players will need to form alliances with other players, or if they wish, they can conquer other cities with their monster army.

Samurai & Dragons is being produced by Masayoshi Kikuchi, who previously worked on Yakuza, Jet Set Radio Future, and Panzer Dragoon.

A release date, and whether it will be released outside of Japan, has yet to be announced.
