Psychonauts 2 will come out this year, Double Fine promises
Though things have been especially quiet on the Psychonauts 2 front, the game is still on track for release this year.
Double Fine has revealed that Psychonauts 2, the long-in-development sequel to the classic adventure game, is indeed going to be released this year.
In a follow-up to a Tweet promoting a Steam sale of the original game, the official Twitter account for Double Fine reiterated that the anticipated sequel has not been delayed, but stopped just short of actually announcing a release date.
Psychonauts 2 was successfully crowdfunded back in 2016. The game has been delayed multiple times, with the most recent major delay pushing it back to 2020. That year has obviously come and gone without Psychonauts 2, but at least Double Fine is certain it won't be pushed back again.
Psychonauts 2 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
